This grant totaling $40,000 will be distributed over the course of two years beginning on July 1. The funds will be used to buy datasets that are necessary for Orandi’s research, as well as to support him as principal investigator and provide the training needed to conduct this research.

As this year’s winner, Orandi will be introduced at the 60th SSAT Annual Meeting next month in San Diego, California, during Digestive Disease Week. He will also be expected to give a final report on his use of the grant and his research project during DDW 2021.
