This year, the SSO Breast Oncology Fellowship at UAB welcomes its newest fellow, Anna Knight, M.D., who just joined the program this summer.
Knight received her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Science Center in Shreveport. Following medical school, Knight left Louisiana for Detroit, Michigan, where she completed her general surgery residency training at Wayne State University and Detroit Medical Center.

Outgoing breast oncology fellow Kareen Ayre, M.D., is now headed into private practice at WellSpan Breast Care in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.
Before joining the UAB Breast Oncology Fellowship, Ayre completed her general surgery residency training at Howard University in Washington, D.C., and earned her medical degree from the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.
