Dr. Robert Russell

UAB pediatric surgeon and Children’s of Alabama Trauma Program Director Robert Russell, M.D., MPH, was elected treasurer of the Pediatric Trauma Society at the organization’s sixth annual meeting earlier this month in San Diego, California. Russell will serve a two-year term, which has already begun, and will be a member of the board of directors for PTS during his tenure as treasurer. 

The Pediatric Trauma Society is a professional organization that seeks to improve healthcare outcomes for children through advocacy, education, care guidelines and research. The organization’s seventh annual meeting will be held Nov. 4-7, 2020, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
