Surgical Oncology Assistant Professor and Director of the UAB Pancreatobiliary Disease Center Bart Rose, M.D., MAS, has been awarded an administrative supplement to his National Institutes of Health K08 grant.

The additional $54,000 administrative award will be used to study new targeted therapies for metastatic gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors. Rose is pleased to use the additional funding to improve patient experiences and outcomes.

“I am very excited about this additional funding, which will continue to support our investigation of using targeted polymersomes to deliver gene modifying drugs in order to improve patient experiences and outcomes who suffer from this disease,” said Rose.
