The UAB Department of Surgery has been building its Twitter followers since 2014 and has hit a large milestone in the realm of social media: 3000 followers.

Academic surgical departments around the nation participate in conversations on the social platform, from sharing the most recent research article to broadcasting achievements of their faculty. Other surgical departments include Michigan Surgery, Emory Surgery, OHSU Department of Surgery, and Columbia Surgery.
