Division of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy Assistant Professor Danielle Sutzko, M.D., M.S., has been awarded a two-year Network 7 Research Development Award from the Department of Veteran’s Affairs , beginning Oct. 1, 2020.
This two-year development award provides Sutzko funding for dedicated time to pursue her research disparities in vascular care for veteran patients with chronic limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI) at the Birmingham Veteran’s Affairs (VA) Medical Center. The total award amounts to $150,000 over the course of the two years.
“It is an honor to be selected for the grant, and I look forward to this dedicated time to pursue research for the veteran population suffering from CLTI,” said Sutzko. “It is rewarding to know that we will be able to use our findings from the proposal to improve patient experience and outcomes.”
