Department of Surgery Assistant Professor Ashley Holder, M.D., alongside Department of Orthopaedic Surgery Assistant Professor Lisa Kafchinski, M.D., Division of Hematology Oncology Instructor Victor Lin, M.D., Ph.D., and Department of Radiation Oncology Assistant Professor Samuel Marcrom, M.D., have launched a multi-disciplinary tumor board focusing solely on sarcomas.
The board, "Sarcoma Management Conference," occurs every other Monday evening from 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. via Zoom. Faculty and trainees from the Departments of Orthopaedic Surgery, Surgery, Radiology and Pathology as well as the Division of Hematology Oncology are welcomed to participate, particularly those with an interest in oncology. The board is also open to those from other institutions.
Course attendees are eligible for an AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM. To submit a case for discussion, or to participate and be on the distribution list please email Bailey Stephens at bastephens@uabmc.edu. The next meeting is Feb. 8 at 5pm.
