Associate Vice Chair for Health Services Research Daniel Chu, M.D., FACS, FASCRS, was named Associate Editor for Colorectal Surgery for the Journal of Surgical Research.
Chu will start in the fall and will serve a five-year term.
Chu’s expertise in colorectal surgery and strong publication record made him an outstanding candidate for the position as associate editor. In this role, Dr. Chu will review surgical publications, in the GI specialty, to ensure the integrity and high standard of excellence for JSR.
The department is proud to congratulate Chu, who also joins Vice Chair of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Colin Martin, M.D., FACS, as an associate editor of the JSR.
“I am delighted to serve alongside Dr. Martin and look forward to selecting high-quality GI manuscripts for the journal,” said Chu. “It is an honor to support the journal and play a role in the direction of its publications.”
Journal of Surgical Research publishes original articles concerned with clinical and laboratory investigations relevant to surgical practice and teaching.
