The UAB Department of Surgery is pleased to welcome Quince Gibson, M.D., MBA, as an assistant professor in the Division of Gastrointestinal Surgery.

Gibson primarily practices at Whitfield Regional Hospital in Demopolis, AL. He attended medical school at Loma Linda University in California, followed by general surgery residency at UAB.

Gibson’s clinical interests including global surgery, rural surgery, robotic surgery, disease prevention, gallbladder disease, hernia repairs, colon cancer and diverticulitis. He is happily married to his wife Karen and loves spending time with his wife and two children.

“We love welcoming talented faculty trained here at UAB,” said Chen. “I look forward to seeing how Dr. Gibson grows and develops his career while at UAB.”
