Associate Professor Robert Russell, M.D., MPH, will join the editorial board of the Journal of Pediatric Surgery (JPS) as an assistant editor, effective Jan. 1, 2022.

The journal, with an impact factor of 2.545, presents original contributions as well as a complete international abstracts section and other special departments to provide the most current source of information and references in pediatric surgery.

As an assistant editor, Russell joins the editorial board to review surgical pediatric publications, ensuring the integrity and high standard of excellence for the JPS.

“I’m honored to represent the department in this national publication,” said Russell. “I look forward to not only upholding the values of the journal while I review abstracts, but also continuing to stay fresh on topics and techniques in pediatric surgery.”
