Associate Professor and Vice Chair of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Colin Martin, M.D., FACS, was selected for membership in the esteemed Lilliputian Surgical Society, which has only 30 pediatric surgeon members from across the nation.

According to the society, its purpose is to further the knowledge of pediatric surgery, enable pediatric surgeons to discuss and solve personal problems related to the practice, and assist in the placement or procurement of residents and interns interested in the field, and in every way possible use its facilities to contribute to the advancement of children’s surgery.

Martin is looking forward to supporting the missions of the society.

“It was an honor to be selected as one of only 30 members in the society,” said Martin. “This group is comprised of some of the best and most-talented pediatric surgeons from across the nation, and I am looking forward to joining them in membership and mission.”
