According to UAB News, UAB Hospital received nine 2022 Women’s Choice Awards, including being named one of the 100 Best Hospitals for Patient Experiences. It received numerous America’s Best Hospitals designations for women’s health practice areas.
In fact, UAB received the America’s Best Hospital designation in the following areas:

- Comprehensive Breast Care
- Cancer Care
- Minimally Invasive Surgery
- Obstetrics
- Stroke Care
- Women’s Services
Specifically, UAB Surgery supports five of the seven designated areas, including: bariatric surgery, comprehensive breast care, cancer care, minimally invasive surgery, and stroke care. The primary divisions that support each area are listed below.
