Vascular Surgery Integrated Resident Claire Motyl, M.D., was named a Society for Vascular Surgery Vascular Quality Initiative (SVS VQI) fellow in training.
The 8-12-month program was started in Jan 2022, and is designed to introduce vascular trainees to the VQI patient safety organization through engagement in quality improvement processes using VQI data.
Advancement through the program and project presentation at the VQI annual meeting offers the opportunity to compete for one of five Jack L. Cronenwett scholarships worth up to $10,000. Cronenwett is a former President of the Society for Vascular Surgery and was instrumental in developing the Vascular Quality Initiative program.
“I am excited about the opportunity to develop skills in quality improvement through participation in the FIT program, and would like to thank my mentors Drs. Adam Beck and Benjamin Pearce for supporting my application,” said Motyl.
