UAB General Surgery Residency Program Director Britney Corey, M.D., MACM, FACS, is pleased to name Associate Professor Sushanth Reddy, M.D., as associate program director.

Reddy serves as associate director of the UAB Division of Surgical Oncology, and he also serves as associate scientist in the Experimental Therapeutics Program at the O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center at UAB.

An active clinician, researcher, and mentor, Reddy’s focus is hepatopancreatobiliary surgery and the therapy and study of pancreatic cancers. He both publishes and lectures regarding his clinical research and findings.

Corey looks forward to the work that she and Reddy will accomplish in growing the residency program and supporting residents in their training to becoming surgeon scientists.

“Dr. Reddy brings a wide breadth of clinical and research expertise to our program,” said Corey. “His proven leadership and mentorship with our trainees and is a welcome addition.”
