Grab your golf clubs and tees: UAB Women in Surgery (WIS) is hosting the first annual Golf Scramble on July 24 at 1 p.m. at the Old Overton Golf Course.

The scramble is open to faculty, fellows, residents, and their significant others. Green fees, which are paid at the door of the event, are $70 for nine holes.

Please bring your own clubs or share with other who have them. For those planning on attending, and RSVP response is required.

WIS encourages all who are interested to attend, regardless of skill level. Four golf clinic sessions will be offered to novices and beginners on June 9, June 23, July 7, and July 21 at Highland Park Golf Course. Please register for each clinic you wish to attend.

Clinic participants can attend one or several sessions. Each clinic is 6-7:30 p.m. and costs $25 a person. The fee will cover golf instruction, space on tee, balls, and clubs.
