The University of Alabama at Birmingham Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery graduating chief residents present awards to Division of Plastic Surgery Assistant Professor Prasanth Patcha, M.D., MEng, FACS, and community partner Alvin Cohn.
Patcha was honored with the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Chief Residents’ Award for Excellence in Teaching, while Cohn received an award for Outstanding Mentorship.
The prestigious Excellence in Teaching award spotlights a faculty member who has demonstrated exceptional accomplishments in teaching. Patcha has studied with world renowned plastic surgeons across the globe with a focus in reconstructive microsurgery, lymphedema surgery, as well as aesthetic surgery. His actively participation in resident and medical student education made him a clear choice for this award.
Cohn is an elite plastic surgeon who currently works as a clinical faculty member at UAB and operates his own private practice. Cohn’s goal is to offer the community with marvelous service through specialized training and kindhearted manner.
Patcha is honored to be the recipient of this prominent award and looks forward to teaching, motivating, and inspiring elite residents.
