UAB Research Resident Katherine McElroy, M.D. has been selected for a featured poster presentation at the annual North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society (NANETS)’s Multidisciplinary Neuroendocrine Tumor (NET) Medical Symposium in Washington D.C.
McElroy will be presenting her abstract “Have We Accounted for Asians? A Critical Analysis of Racial Cancer Disparity Amongst Asian Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumor Patients.”
As a recipient, she will receive a NANETS Travel Grant covering the cost of registration, lodging, and travel expenses.
NANETS Multidisciplinary NET Medical Symposium is an opportunity for professional members of the neuroendocrine community to share ideas, review new methods in multidisciplinary care, and discuss the future of neuroendocrine research.
