UAB Division of Breast and Endocrine Surgery Assistant Professor and Global Surgery Associate Vice Chair Lily Gutnik, M.D., has been invited to participate in the 2023 National Academy of Medicine (NAM) Emerging Leaders Forum.

The Emerging Leaders Forum will be held in Washington, D.C., on April 18-19 and remains an invitation-only event.

Dr. Gutnik serves in leadership roles in global surgery and health services research initiatives at UAB and internationally.

She has participated in programs such as the Fogarty Global Health Fellows and Scholars/LAUNCH Program and the Association for Academic Surgery (AAS) Global Affairs Committee.

“It is an honor to participate in the forum and collaborate with other scholars to stimulate interdisciplinary solutions in health and medicine,” says Dr. Gutnik.
