The UAB Department of Surgery is honored to welcome Division of Transplantation Clinical Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Rabbani.

Rabbani attended Aga Khan University Medical College, where he received his bachelor's degrees in both medicine and surgery. After graduation, he completed residencies in general surgery at Brown University, George Washington University, and the Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. Rabbani completed his fellowship in abdominal transplant and hepatobiliary surgery at UAB.

His research interests include uterus transplantation and living donor liver transplantation.

Rabbani is a member of the American Society of Transplant Surgery, the American College of Surgeons, and the Rhode Island Medical Society.
