Congratulations to UAB Division of Breast and Endocrine Surgery Assistant Professor Dr. Lily Gutnik who has been selected by Conquer Cancer, the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Foundation to receive a 2023 Conquer Cancer Career Development Award (CDA).

 The CDA provides funding to clinical investigators who have received their initial faculty appointment as they work to establish an independent clinical cancer research program.

This award is a three-year grant totaling $200,000, which can support investigators, research expenses, and travel to the Conquer Cancer Grants and Awards Ceremony during the ASCO Annual Meeting in Chicago.

Recipients of the CDA will conduct their research project under the guidance of a scientific mentor with research that remains patient-oriented, including a clinical research study or translational research involving human subjects.
