The UAB Department of Surgery is excited to announce its inaugural Staff Town Hall, which will take place on Tuesday, September 5, at 8:30 a.m. in the Margaret Cameron Spain Auditorium.

What’s a Staff Town Hall, anyway?

This event, led by Executive Director Mary McDougal, is an opportunity for the Department of Surgery’s 350+ staff members to:

• Learn about the year’s successes
• Create the roadmap of accomplishments to come in 2024
• Ask questions about current operations

Why is it important that I attend?

The Department of Surgery is one of the largest and most productive departments at UAB. This is only accomplished because our incredible staff drive our mission. Staff are a vibrant force of change and innovation – and deserve a platform where their voices can be heard. Join us as we learn more about the department, discuss policies that affect your work, and get talking about things that matter specifically to the staff.

We’ll also have an exclusive Surgery t-shirt waiting just for you, along with coffee and Chick-fil-A biscuits!

Once you fill in your information on our event RSVP, we’ll handle all the rest! We know how busy mornings are, so we’ll be sure to have you in and out of the event by 9:30 a.m. We can’t wait to see you there!
