Halloween Team-Building ActivityBats and mermaids and interplanetary Guardians of the Galaxy – oh my!

The Department of Surgery got into the holiday spirit by celebrating Halloween with its annual hall decoration and costume contests – followed by a catered lunch for all from La Paz.

Themes included:

  • Division of Surgical Oncology’s “Under the Sea – Little Mermaid Diorama”
  • Division of Gastrointestinal Surgery’s “Guardians of the GI Galaxy”
  • Division of Gastrointestinal Surgery’s “Entering the Bat Cave Immersive Experience”
  • Chair of the Department of Surgery’s “Arriving at Hogwarts”
  • Division of Vascular Surgery’s “Barbie Box” Photobooth
  • Division of Vascular Surgery’s “Halloween Cat” and “Festive Fall Celebration” Hallway

The Department of Surgery would like to offer a special thank you to the Division of Gastrointestinal Surgery’s Corwyn Potts and Allison Moss for their hard work and dedication in creating and leading this team-building exercise for the department.

“This is a division tradition we look forward to all year long,” says Moss. “I’m so excited that we’ve had participation from across the department this year and always enjoy seeing the camaraderie between groups as we decorate and support one another.”

What will happen next year? There’s only one way to find out – stay tuned for news of 2024’s celebration. (Rumor has it that planning has already begun!)
