Several members of the UAB Department of Surgery have recently graduated from the institution’s leadership development programs. Among the graduates are Jessica Fazendin, M.D., Marissa Keppley, MBA, Sushanth Reddy, M.D., and J. Bart Rose, M.D., MAS.

UAB Health Leadership Academy

Jessica Fazendin, M.D., and Marissa Keppley, MBA, graduated from the UAB Health Leadership Academy. The academy aims to identify and develop future leaders of UAB Medicine and the Academic Medical Center. It seeks to enhance participants' leadership abilities, develop strategic thinking skills, and provide an understanding of the health system and academic medical center operations.

UAB Institute of Leadership

J. Bart Rose, M.D., MAS, graduated from the UAB Institute of Leadership, which offers a six-month leadership initiative designed for high-potential, mid-level leaders. The program is tailored to help successful leaders further develop their leadership skills and implement new tools to support the development of the leaders who report to them.

UAB Emerging Leaders Series

Sushanth Reddy, M.D., graduated from the UAB Emerging Leaders Series, which offers a leadership development opportunity for a cohort of emerging leaders at a manager, director, or similar level.
