UAB Marnix E. Heersink School of Medicine third-year medical student Daniela Muñoz Wilson, M.A., has been awarded third place at UAB’s ENRICH Week 2024 poster session within the Research & Scholarship category for her project entitled, "Influence of Social Identity on General Surgery Residents’ Perceptions of Feedback."
Muñoz Wilson completed her ENRICH week project under the mentorship of UAB Department of Surgery Associate Professor and Vice Chair of Education Brenessa Lindeman, M.D., MEHP.
Prior to medical school, Muñoz Wilson earned her bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies at Auburn University and a master's in higher education and student affairs at The Ohio State University. After five years as an educator, Muñoz Wilson pivoted to pursue medicine and excitedly returned to Alabama to pursue her degree at UAB.
Her research interests have included surgical education since the early stages of her medical education.
