The UAB Department of Surgery congratulates the eight faculty members who have been inducted into the Fellowship of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) at the 2024 Clinical Congress!
The new fellows are:
- Sarah Bateni, M.D., MSW, MAS
- Andrea Gillis, M.D., MSPH
- Sabrina Goddard, M.D.
- Lily Gutnik, M.D., MPH
- W. Hampton Gray, M.D.
- Manu Kaushik, M.D.
- Muhammad Umaid Rabbani, M.D.
- Kristen Wong, M.D.
From this point forward, each of the inductees may use the fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) accreditation on their correspondence and official listing of titles.
In order to be selected, applicants must submit a detailed packet that is evaluated by the ACS on the basis of the potential fellow’s surgical judgment and experience, professional competence, ethical conduct, and professional standing in the local community.
