As an aspiring academic surgeon, I am excited to have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to medical education. I am so grateful to my mentors at UAB Surgery for their support and to the NRMP for this incredible opportunity and huge honor. The NRMP is committed to organizing a match process that is fair, efficient, transparent, and reliable. As part of this phenomenal team, I am honored to work towards supporting the medical education community and enhancing opportunities to train exceptional healthcare professionals with the goal of providing quality care to our patients and communities.”
“We are proud of Dr. Alizeh Abbas's accomplishments and thrilled she will represent the UAB General Surgery Program in the National Resident Matching Program Board of Directors. Her dedication and insight will be valuable additions to the matching program process, and we look forward to the positive impact she will have in her tenure,” said UAB General Surgery Program Director Britney Corey, M.D., MACM.
