Congratulations to the Division of Surgical Oncology’s Renata Jaskula-Sztul, Ph.D., who recently received a financial award for her research project.

Dr. Renata Jaskula-SztulJaskula-Sztul was awarded a $50,000, one-year pilot grant from the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center for her project, “Somatostatin receptor 2 antibody-drug conjugates for pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor therapy.” This project was based on preliminary data obtained through the Bioengineering-Surgery Collaborative Pilot Award and two collaborators: The Department of Biomedical Engineering’s Margaret Liu, Ph.D., and the Department of Chemistry’s Sadanandan Velu, Ph.D.
