The Robert E. Reed Gastrointestinal Oncology Research Foundation and the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center will host the Third Annual Living with Cancer Symposium on Monday, May 21, at the UAB Alumni House from 1-4 p.m.

Four faculty from the Division of Surgical Oncology will give talks, including Martin Heslin, M.D., who will discuss “How to Talk to Doctors About Cancer;” Sushanth Reddy, M.D., who will speak on “Pheochromocytoma: Treatment Beyond Surgery;” J. Bart Rose, M.D., M.A.S., who will talk about “Exploring New Treatment Options for Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors;” and Marshall Urist, M.D., who will speak on informed consent. The Department of Nutrition Sciences’ Laura Rogers, M.D., will also deliver a talk on “Exercise and Fatigue in Cancer Survivors.”
