This year, the UAB Department of Surgery’s Breast Oncology Fellowship welcomes Kareen Ayre, M.D., who will join UAB on Aug. 1 from Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. The fellowship’s current fellow, Meredith Witten, M.D., will leave the Breast Oncology Fellowship program at the end of July to join the faculty at Aurora Health in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
