More than 1,200 interns, residents and fellows train in every medical specialty at UAB in Birmingham, at our regional campuses in Montgomery, Huntsville and Tuscaloosa, and in our program in Selma. Incoming Fellows
This year, the UAB Department of Surgery’s Surgical Critical Care Fellowship welcomes two new fellows: Jonathan Black, M.D., who will join UAB from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, and Brittany Warren, M.D., who comes to us from Orlando Health.

Outgoing Fellows
One of the fellowship’s outgoing fellows, Eric Schinnerer, M.D., has already joined the faculty at UAB in the Division of Acute Care Surgery as an instructor after graduating from the program this summer, while the other outgoing fellow, James O’Neal, M.D., has taken a position in New Orleans, Louisiana.
