The UAB Department of Music will present its third annual UAB Drumline Festival Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, with special guest Jeff Queen.
The festival is a one day, non-competitive clinic for high-school musicians. The day includes morning drumming sessions and afternoon clinics with Queen, Assistant Director of Bands Gene Fambrough, D.M.A., and the UAB Drumline. Participants may come as a full ensemble, battery only, sections only or as individuals. Participants must provide their own equipment.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m. in the UAB Hulsey Center for the Arts, 950 13th St. South.
Queen’s clinic will take place at 1 p.m. in the UAB Mary Culp Hulsey Recital Hall. The cost is $25 for high-school students for the full day.
