A Mobile Vet Center, provided by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, will stop at UAB’s campus Wednesday, June 20 and July 18, 2012, to offer military veterans free counseling services.
The vehicles travel the country and offer an array of services that include counseling for post-traumatic stress disorder and military sexual trauma, bereavement, marriage and family issues as well as VA benefits information and suicide prevention referrals. There is no appointment necessary. The center will be stationed outside of the Hill University Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
