Prepare for a little bloodletting at the UAB Student Government Association Halloween blood drive, being held in conjunction with the American Red Cross. The drive, part of UAB’s Homecoming festivities, is 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at Blazer Hall, 1111 16th Street S.
All blood types are needed; blood supply is always precarious, even without vampires around. Bring a photo ID or your American Red Cross Donor Card.
The drive is part of the UAB Homecoming Spirit Competition. All competing organizations will receive points when their members donate.
Walk-ups are welcome, and appointments are available. Go to www.redcrossblood.org and enter sponsor code “Blazer.”
