The University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Institute for Human Rights will host “Stand as One: Empowering Marginalized Voices” on Thursday, Feb. 16. A collection of panelists representing various human rights organizations will gather in an interactive forum to address common challenges to make Birmingham a strong and inclusive community.
The forum will take place in UAB’s Campbell Hall, 1300 University Blvd., Room 405, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. This forum is free and open to the public.
Individuals and groups throughout Birmingham’s diverse community are seeking ways to come together to discuss common challenges and solutions. A group of individuals representing different faith‐based, community and academic organizations aim to plan a program that will identify these common challenges, and to determine ways the community can work together to address those challenges to create a stronger Birmingham.
