As an orthodontist with a keen interest in clinical translational research, Kau can speak to traditional braces and aligners, as well as startup medical devices that include orthodontic appliances and the commercialization of orthodontic products. His research interests include 3D imaging and modeling of surgery.
He is director of the Craniofacial Orthodontia Clinic, in partnership with the Children’s Rehabilitation Service and Medicaid of Alabama, and he practices clinical orthodontics with a special interest in craniofacial anomalies andfacial deformities. In this capacity, he can speak to dent-facial deformities, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, accelerated tooth movement and 4D jaw tracking.
