The latest in aging research will be presented and discussed at the Comprehensive Center for Healthy Aging 2018 Symposium on Thursday, April 26. The free event is open to the public.
Experts will present the basic science of aging, current clinical interventions and community-based research. This year’s keynote speaker is Victor Thannickal, M.D., Ben Vaughan Branscomb Chair of Medicine in Respiratory Disease and director of the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
The symposium is hosted by UAB’s Comprehensive Center for Healthy Aging. The center is known for outstanding research related to optimizing function of older adults, particularly in the areas of mobility, cognition and continence.
