Berecek appointed professor emerita of physiology and biophysics

Kathleen Berecek, Ph.D., has been named professor emerita of physiology and biophysics in the UAB School of Medicine and School of Dentistry.

Berecek-Kathleen The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees appointed Kathleen H. Berecek, Ph.D., professor emerita of physiology and biophysics in the Department of Cell, Developmental and Integrative Biology in the UAB School of Medicine and the School of Dentistry during its meeting Sept. 16, 2011.

Berecek earned her doctorate in physiology from the University of Michigan and joined the faculty of UAB in 1985.
