Stringer-Reasor named recipient of Auburn University’s Young Alumni Achievement Award

An assistant professor in UAB’s Division of Hematology and Oncology receives achievement award from her alma mater.

erica stringer webErica Stringer-Reasor, M.D., assistant professor in the University of Alabama at Birmingham Division of Hematology and Oncology, was awarded Auburn University’s Young Alumni Achievement Award. The recipient is recognized for significant achievement in his or her professional life and/or for distinguished community service.

A 2004 biomedical sciences graduate of Auburn University, Stringer-Reasor’s clinical and research interests include breast cancer, women’s health, developmental therapeutics, targeted therapies and clinical trial design.

“It’s a huge honor to be acknowledged by your undergrad institution, and I’m excited to use the platform to encourage other hopeful young physician-scientists,” Stringer-Reasor said. “The education I received at Auburn has helped set me up for continued success in my career at UAB and laid the foundation for the care I provide my patients day in and day out.”

Stringer-Reasor has been faculty at UAB since 2015. She is a member of the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center.
