Terri L. Poe (BSN 1986, DNP 2013)

Terri Poe, DNP, RN, NE-BC is a two-time graduate of the UAB School of Nursing. She is the Chief Nursing Officer and Sr. Vice President at UAB Hospital. She joined UAB in 2009 as Director of Emergency Services where she served for 5 years before accepting the role as CNO in August of 2014. She has a Bachelor of Nursing degree from UAB, a Master of Public Administration from UAB, and received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from UAB in August of 2013.

Dr. Poe was appointed as the Assistant Dean for Practice at UAB Hospital in the School of Nursing at UAB in 2015. She has a Nurse Executive Board Certification. Poe is the past President of Birmingham Regional Organization of Nurse Leaders (BRONL) and is the President of the Alabama Chapter of the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AlaONE).
