The Office of Clinical and Global Partnerships (OCGP) is responsible for achieving the service mission of the School of Nursing. We do this through a variety of partnerships, some which are care-delivery focused and others that are educationally focused.
Our interprofessional practice-based partnerships provide faculty practice opportunities and serve as model teaching sites for undergraduate and graduate nursing students and others. Our educational partnerships focus on preparing students and clinicians for care of vulnerable populations including those that are rural and underserved, Veterans and their families, those with psychiatric mental health issues, children, the elderly and more. We have a firm commitment to improving health care access and quality to better meet the needs of targeted populations and communities, especially those who have limited health care access in rural and underserved areas in Alabama.
Our office also oversees faculty practice, the School’s PAHO/WHO Collaborating Center for International Nursing and other activities that have global impact.
