UAB Online Accounting
Count yourself lucky. A top-notch accounting program, now online.
Want to learn the fundamentals for a career in accounting, but struggling to find time in your schedule to come to class? Let us bring the classroom to you. In our online accounting program, you’ll earn the same degree as our on-campus students, but from the convenience of anywhere. We offer a diverse variety of classes you’ll need to succeed, including accounting principles, business communications and foundations, financial management, information systems, management processes, and quantitative analysis. With our innovative curriculum and technology-driven instructional methods, it’s the perfect way for you to learn how to be a professional accountant on your own time, and in your chosen environment.
Is this really the same diploma on-campus students earn?
Yes. Your classes are the same. You have the same award-winning faculty of experienced accounting experts. And your diploma will not distinguish that you were a distance learner.
Why is UAB’s AACSB supplemental accounting accreditation so special?
The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business is the most respected and highest international credential of excellence for business and accounting. Simply put, they are the gold standard. Schools that have earned AACSB’s supplemental accounting accreditation have not only earned AACSB business accreditation, but have gone through an additional process to affirm that their accounting programs are meeting the highest standard of quality. Of the 716 AACSB-accredited business schools, only 181 (25%) have separate accounting accreditation. We’re proud to say Collat School of Business has held this separate accreditation since 1981.
U.S. News & World Report Accolades
We’ve been dubbed one of the “Best Online Bachelor’s in Business Programs,” “Best Online Master’s in Business Programs,” “Best Online MBA Programs,” and “Best Online Master’s in Computer Information Technology Programs” in the 2022 “Best Online Programs” rankings.
Extra Resources
Just like our on-campus students, you can benefit from both the Collat Career Center and Handshake platforms. Both will help you access recruiters, land internships, schedule job interviews, and more. The Collat Tutoring Lab offers services at no additional cost and we have a 24/7 technical help desk for your support.
Degree Timetable
You can complete your degree in as few as four years as a full-time student. Your coursework will be semester based and can be structured in 7- or 14-week formats. While the program is completely online, we do encourage you to participate in graduation ceremonies on campus when you finish.
