Metric: Graduates Reporting Employment in Alabama
The state supports the education of its residents. One way of measuring community engagement is to assess the percentage of graduates who remain in the state of Alabama and then become part of the larger community of educated citizens.
Data definition: Graduates (including undergraduate and graduate students, except O.D., D.M.D., and M.D. degree graduates) reporting employment in Alabama on the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) First Destination Survey. Baseline figure represents number of students reporting employment in Alabama on First Destination Survey, Summer 2017 to Spring 2018 (3,352 students took the survey during this period, which is 71 percent of graduates in the period).
