The university achieved innumerable accomplishments this year, including two program 50th anniversaries, a milestone gift to the College of Arts and Sciences, and the announcement of a new conference for UAB Athletics.

History was made Aug. 29 when the UAB Department of Athletics broke ground for the Football Operations Center and Legacy Pavilion.
UAB Football will make its 2016 debut Aug. 29, when the Blazers host a Green and Gold Game at BBVA Compass Field. Tickets can be purchased 9 a.m.-5 p.m. in advance from the UAB Athletics Ticket Office in Bartow Arena or at the gate on game day.
The $500,000 gift is the first and largest corporate donation for the UAB Football Operations Building.
