Passionate about recycling, clean commutes and renewable energy? Join UAB Sustainability’s Ambassadors program and help ensure your campus unit has an investment in and exposure to sustainability efforts across UAB.
Ambassadors will create a network between buildings on campus to promote UAB’s sustainable ventures to their colleagues and help implement tailored sustainable programming that meets the needs of all the units they serve.
Ambassadors must be full-time, benefits-eligible faculty or staff with the support of their direct supervisor who have an interest in sustainable practices and the abilities to serve a one-year term beginning in November 2019. Attendance will be required at a start-up luncheon Nov. 7 and a second meeting in April. Ambassadors must keep in regular contact with UAB Sustainability regarding updates from their units and events.

“Engaging the whole campus in sustainability education is key to creating a greener UAB, and taking that step isn’t possible without sustainability ambassadors,” said Julie Price, manager of UAB Sustainability. “Faculty or staff who are just as passionate as us are the perfect partners in our journey toward a more sustainable future for UAB.”
