Participants aged 18 to 35 years old are needed for a research project at the UAB School of Optometry. If you have normal vision and do not wear glasses you are still eligible to participate as a control. This study aims to evaluate the effects of optical defocus and wavelengths of light on the axial length and choroidal thickness of the eye. Eligible participants will attend two visits, each of approximately one-and-a-half-hour duration, and wear spectacle or soft contact lenses during the experiments. When the study is complete, participants will receive a $100 ClinCard gift voucher as compensation for their time and participation.
If you are interested, please contact Dr. Safal Khanal at (205) 934-4558 or the study coordinator at (205) 975-3881.
