Canvas to provide training for new LMS
Canvas will provide two WebEx seminars for faculty and instructional design/ technology staff this month, plus three days of on-campus training in late January or early February. Specific training dates will be announced on www.uab.edu/online before classes begin Jan. 6. A website to support Canvas users is expected to go live by Feb. 1. Allman to lead VA geriatric services
Richard M. Allman, M.D., director of the Comprehensive Center for Healthy Aging at UAB since 1992, has been appointed chief consultant for Geriatrics and Extended Care Services for the Department of Veterans Affairs in Washington, D.C. He will begin his service Jan. 12, 2014.
