If you have major depressive disorder (MDD) and are in a current depressive episode, we invite you to learn about a research study of an investigational drug that is taken with your current antidepressant medication. In this study, researchers will evaluate the safety and efficacy of the investigational drug as an add-on therapy to your current antidepressant medication. To prequalify for this study you must be 18 to 65 years of age, have been diagnosed with recurrent MDD, be in a current major depressive episode for at least the last 8 weeks, and not experiencing a satisfactory improvement in your symptoms of depression with your current treatment. All study-related visits, tests, and drugs will be provided at no cost. In addition, reimbursement for study-related travel may be provided. Heterosexual sexually active women ages 18-45 needed for study exploring how bacterial vaginosis (BV), the most common vaginal infection, occurs in women. If eligible, the study involves an anonymous survey, STD testing, and completion of twice-daily sexual/reproductive diaries, and self-collection of 3 twice daily vaginal swabs over an 8 week time period. Volunteers will be compensated $20 for screening, $25 for the enrollment visit, $20/week for drop-off of daily diaries and specimens (weeks 1-7), and $50 for the final weekly drop-off (week 8).
