Disaster preparedness seminar set for July 28

The Tuesday, July 28 event will feature experts in emergency preparedness from UAB and the University of Alabama.

Are we ready for a disaster? That’s the question that will be posed at a new seminar/Webinar to be hosted by the UAB University Transportation Center (UTC) and the South Central Center for Public Health Preparedness that will explore “Disaster Preparedness from Multiple Perspectives.”

The Tuesday, July 28 event will feature experts in emergency preparedness from UAB and the University of Alabama. UTC investigator Gerald McGwin, Ph.D., professor of epidemiology in the UAB School of Public Health, will moderate a roundtable discussion at the conclusion of the seminar.

The seminar will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Community Health Services Building Room 207.
