UAB Music master class with Quink Vocal Ensemble

The UAB Department of Music will present a master class for students with the performers of Quink Vocal Ensemble at noon Friday, Feb. 4 in the Mary Culp Hulsey Recital Hall.

The UAB Department of Music will present a master class for students with the performers of Quink Vocal Ensemble at noon Friday, Feb. 4 in the Mary Culp Hulsey Recital Hall. Quink will work with UAB's Chamber Singers led by Brian Kittredge, M.M. The master class will be open to the public. Call 934-7376.

Quink is a Dutch vocal ensemble. Since its first concerts in 1978 the group of five professional singers ranks among the top a cappella ensembles of the world, according to their biography. The ensemble's vast repertoire stretches from the Middle Ages to contemporary music, spanning more than 800 years of musical history. The ensemble's members are Marjon Strijk and Mariëtte Oelderik, sopranos; Elsbeth Gerritsen, alto; Harry van Berne, tenor; and Kees Jan de Koning, bass.
