Parkinson’s patients get new voice with speech therapy

New laser gives hope to indigent, training to residents

SOPH students tap into World Water Week
The Student Association for Graduate Education (SAGE) in Maternal and Child Health is encouraging local restaurants to ask their customers to donate $1 or more to raise money for the Tap Project, a UNICEF endeavor to improve water and sanitation projects around the world.

25 years and going strong
(From left to right) Ada Long, Lucy Tufts, Mike Sloane and Karmie Johnson helped celebrate the 25th anniversary of the UAB Honors Program Feb. 20-21 with a symposium in the Hulsey Recital Hall. Long, the founding director of the program, delivered one of the keynote addresses for the weekend. Sloane, the current director of the program, also addressed those attendance, as did Tufts and Johnson, who are Honors Program alumni.

WBHM turns spring pledge drive on its ear with one-day drive
